Winter Drop: Marina on Her Favorite Pairs, Inspiration, & Styling Ideas

It's a big day at Larroudé HQ: Our 2022 Winter collection is finally here. Co-founder Marina and our head designer Gabi created the boot line-up of your dreams, from the event-ready Biba to snow bunny staples like the Utah and Hailey. Here, Marina discusses the collection's origins, the shoes she can't wait to wear, and the way she’ll be wearing—and styling—every single pair.

What inspired this winter drop? 

It’s a utilitarian drop designed around the wardrobe needs of a woman during this time of year. From day to evening, the styles cover school drop offs (The Utah!), dancing with girlfriends (The Kate in new patent), brunch and browsing around town (The Hailey!), and some major fashion moments (The Biba and Kate OTK), because everyone needs a little fashion magic in their day to day.

Do you have a favorite pair from the newest collection? Why is it your fave? 

The Biba is my favorite style. I love the heel height and the comfort. It has a playful element, but it's still easy to wear. I tend to wear a lot of dresses and skirts no matter the time of the year, so they will be my go-tos—a complement to what I’m wearing that’s also a conversation starter.

Any tips for styling this collection as Winter draws near? 

The Hailey is your everyday city boot. It's that style that goes with everything and you don’t need to think about it. Put it on with jeans, leggings, or a mini skirt — just go for it. 

I love the Biba with mini or long dresses. It's the new silhouette of the season, and you can't go wrong. I even got myself a printed pair that I’m planning on wearing with a white knit dress. The Kate Boots are everyone's favorites, and for good reason. In denim, you can either go for a denim on denim look to make a statement, or simply with a great sweater and your favorite bell-bottoms, which is how I’ll be wearing mine. Chunky knit sweater dresses, plaids, or even flower printed pieces will go well with them in denim, too. The Kate in new patent leather is your statement evening boot when paired with a mini bodycon dress. It will also look super chic with a navy blue outfit, and you’ll see me in mine, most likely hitting the dance floor! And the beauty of The Utah is that it doesn’t even need any styling tips, it's just here to make your life easy, to keep you warm, comfy cozy, and unapologetically stylish. It's the chicest Winter boot when the temperature drops, with a supersoft lining you have to feel to believe!
