What inspires you?
I'm inspired by my parents. They worked hard to give me a good life, and they always taught me to never give up on my dreams.
How did you get your start?
Actually Started in Finance and transitioned to marketing after Business school. My first job out of business school was at an agency focusing on new business and partnerships.
Piece of advice for your younger self / One thing you wish you knew when you were first starting out?
Don't be afraid to take risks. When you're young, you have the whole world ahead of you. Don't be afraid to try new things and step outside of your comfort zone. You may fail at times, but that's okay. Failure is a part of life, and it's how we learn and grow.
What does a typical day at work look like?
Wake up read, BOF, FT, NYT, CNN, NYP, Insta. work out, Go to office.. various meetings with brand, product and international teams on various topics from strategy, to campaigns to partnerships then usually a dinner or event after work.
What are some of the biggest challenges that you face in your line of work? How do you navigate them?
Working at large organizations there are various stakeholders for every project so making sure I have a clear stakeholder management strategy at the beginning of each project is super important.
What is one of your biggest successes so far?
Starting Fashion Tech connects with Stacie Henderson which gives women of color at 4 year universities summer internships in Fashion and tech.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
I never think that far ahead. I always keep an open mind on what's next.
