What inspires you?
Art, literature, nature, and friends. Exploring galleries at my own pace, allowing my curiosity to lead me to new discoveries at bookstores, and immersing myself in nature whether it be a hike or time in the garden. Rounding off a day by sharing a meal and great bottle of wine with friends. Any of these and you’ll find your cup of inspiration will overflow pretty quickly.
How did you get your start?
I had defined goals from a young age. Although relentless effort and adaptability made the difference. A few industry figures took chances on me so I try to pass this on. Trust from others fuels collective thriving.
Piece of advice for your younger self?
Observe and listen when you are granted access to talented people and environments. Always ask yourself, “How can I add value?”
One thing you wish you knew when you were first starting out?
The importance of a self-care ritual. How vital it is to ground yourself before the world’s influence.
What does a typical day at work look like?
Everyday varies, yet each week involves research, sourcing, emails, meetings, creative presentations, editing, and time on-set.
What are some of the biggest challenges that you face in your line of work?
Creating a daily framework. Actively rejuvenating my well of inspiration, and translating it into actionable steps.
How do you navigate them?
Recognizing my worth and not betting against myself…
What is one of your biggest successes so far?
Continuously evolving through every role and experience. My career has spanned fashion design, publishing, editorial styling, art direction, brand consulting, and interior styling. Paths intertwine to reveal there is unity in the dots, and that all the dots eventually connect. Gone are the days when my definition of success remained narrow. Recent years have unveiled the essence of true success–leading an abundant and fulfilling life is finding the bridge between the personal and professional.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Surrounded by laughter from loved ones. Engaging in more purpose driven work and creatively stimulating projects, while making intentional choices with my time.
